FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Your visit

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and lets us reach the area being treated.

Will treatment be uncomfortable?

Some tenderness is normal, and it is usually greatest the first time an area is worked. New areas are not used to being worked and have to learn how to relax. After this period, treatment is much easier and less tender. When pain is an issue, the goal is to reduce it to a manageable level before working into the source of the complaint, so you are more comfortable during correction. We tell you before going deeper than you expected. Since you know how you feel better than anyone, your feedback is an integral part of the process.

Will I be sore afterward?

It is normal to be sore for 24–72 hours. Ice, heat or other methods may be recommended to manage the soreness.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your case, and we cannot say with certainty at the start. How quickly you respond depends on the age of the issue, whether it is acute or chronic and how volatile the area is. We review any changes and return to the assessment to help us determine which tactic we need to use next. Therapeutic exercises, postural corrections and other recommendations may be provided to help you improve faster between visits. After the assessment, we recommend how often to be seen.

Scheduling and payment

How do I book, change or cancel?

Book online on the Schedule page. You do not need to create an account or log in. Your confirmation and reminder emails include links to change or cancel your appointment. Reminders are sent by email 48 hours before your visit and, if you opt in, by text the day before.

Which session length should I choose?

Session length is matched to the issue. See Pricing for a guide to each length. New clients begin with the 60-minute Initial Visit. If you are unsure which length to choose, call or email the office.

How do cancellation and payment work?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made within 24 hours and no-shows are charged the full price of the scheduled visit. There is a 15-minute grace period for all visits. After 15 minutes the appointment is forfeited and the full price will be charged.

A valid credit card is required to secure the appointment, but payment can be made via cash, check or Apple Pay at the time of your visit. The card is kept securely on file and is charged after your session unless payment is made another way, or under the terms above. Prices are subject to change without notice. The current price is always shown before you book.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not bill insurance. On request, we provide an itemized statement that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by your plan, and we cannot guarantee it.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes. Gift certificates are available on the Schedule page. They are redeemable for the stated dollar value toward any service at the price in effect at the time of booking. Prices are subject to change without notice. Gift certificates do not expire. Multiple certificates can be purchased in any amount of your choosing.
